Jeremie had a trial run to practice for his KH this coming Monday where he and a group of his friends have to prepare a Chinese meal. Not bad for his first practice. Well Done!

PIROUETTE

According to Wikipedia............

Pirouette is a controlled turn on one leg, starting with one or both legs in plié and rising onto demi-pointe (usually for men) or pointe (usually for women). The non-supporting leg can be held in retiré position, or in attitude, arabesque level or second position. The pirouette may return to the starting position or finish in arabesque or attitude positions, or proceed otherwise. A pirouette is most often en dehors turning outwards toward the back leg, but can also be en dedans turning inwards toward the front leg. Although ballet pirouettes are performed with the hips and legs rotated outward ("turned out"), it is common to see them performed with an inward rotation ("parallel") in other genres of dance, such as jazz and modern.
Turning technique includes spotting, in which a dancer executes a periodic, rapid rotation of the head that serves to fix the dancer's gaze on a single spot. Spotting is particularly important in traveling turns such as tours chaînés or piqués because it helps the dancer control the direction of travel while keeping balanced.
Pirouettes can be executed with a single or multiple rotations.

EMPIRE SHOPPING GALLERY JUICER REDEMPTION

Was feeling terribly bored this morning and decided to go to Empire Shopping Gallery to join their "RUSH SHOP GRAB"

Arrived at 10:15am and the queue was already long. Sent my maid to Q (she's already number 19). Can you spot her?

Now what can I buy for RM30.00? Kiehl's was the nearest shop...................and this was what I got - Ultra Facial Cleanser RM85.00. Got some samples to try too!

By 10:30am, there were already 50 in line. No more redemption till 3.00pm.................

................................................And finally this was what I got - PHILIPS Juicer for RM29.00 (worth RM179.00)!!!!!

A DANCER'S PRAYER

MOTHER'S DAY 2010

The day started like any other ordinary Sunday morning - screaming at kids, going to ballet school, teaching, more screaming..................................

2:00pm
Finished work!!! Thought I will look pretty for the night. Thanks to Zoe's recommendation I got my eyebrows threaded - in and out in less than 10 minutes and only RM7.

Next stop - Took Jeremie & Julian for a hair-cut. While waiting for them, made dinner reservation at PJ Hilton.

Back home - everyone took a nap. Julian was excited and got ready first. Me was all dressed up before I woke Jeremie to shower......and know what? He was feverish!!!!!! There goes our plans!




We , however had a lovely time at home. Julian had McD takeaway. Jeremie & myself Ipoh Hor Fun. watched Enchanted on Astro & had cake later. That's what Mother's Day is all about - cuddling together.................

We will have dinner when my treasurer comes back. Heard from Sue-Ann that Itallianies will be having the same promo for Father'sDay. Father's get a discount similar to their age. She said more worth it as my husband is older. She suggested wearing a white beard - then can get 80% discount (some more no check IC!!!)

FOLK DANCE EXAMS 2010

SERENA BALLET SCHOOL had a day of fun on 04.05.2010. The students not only performed their dances but there were projects beautifully done.......eg......

Eiffel Tower & Big Ben by Celine Ho's Daddy (ssshhhhh......)

Parthenon by Jeremie Gan (first time he did his own project - Well Done!!!)

Gigantic box (small note: with sponsorship on costumes by Jen Ni) by Kristy (tried to outdo everyone by size)

Calendar by Michelle Lim (lovely idea)

Lots of scrap books and projects (too beautiful to describe in words - see pics in Facebook)

The highlight was italian lunch prepared by....

- Teoh Diane's Mum - Panettone (a type of bread) - was delicious to the power of 10 .................... she said next week will make some more (I am sure I heard correctly!)

- Zoe Tan - Rosemary crackers with sesame, Kinder Beuno & Expresso. Oh the Expresso has so many versions (Ameleen takes hers so "kao" - like Chinese medicine. Kristy made hers like drinking syrup - so sweet!)

- Kristy Yong - made the main course (spaghetti bolognese) - yummy and came in "big portion"!

- Janice Low - Tiramisu - sweet and nice (very, very slim portion)

Special mention to the tea by........

- Alycia Steven - Greek Coconut Cake with Syrup (she made it herself)

- Sherlyn Yong - Cream Horn (bought from Fruity)

Thanks also to Pai Kut King for the lovely Chinese meal. We appreciate your kindness!!!!

Last Friday 09.04.2010, ten of us went to KLPac for a concert. What an experience - NOT the performance BUT the journey. This was what we encountered from 5.30 - 8.30pm...................

Today my Daddy smiled at me :)

FAREWELL FLUFFY

A very sad thing happened this morning. When I reached my Daddy's house,

no friendly bark,

no waggly tail greeted me.

Instead I saw.........................................

Fluffy had been with us for almost twenty years. Her Mum Bobo was also our pet and her son Willy is with my family. I was shocked to see her go this way.

This is Fluffy's final resting place - underneath the papaya tree. May she Rest In Peace.

Back to my house....................

My Vietnamese maid broke the news to Willy "me chet roi" (Your mother is dead).

Went to Jabatan Pendaftaran @ PutraJaya to do Jeremie's MyKad. At last the system was down and there was a Q of 300+........It was a blessing in disguise as we spent the afternoon cycling at Taman Wetland.
